2nd International Marine Conservation Congress

The 2nd International Marine Conservation Congress (IMCC2) is a meeting of the Society for Conservation Biology's marine section that attracts ocean scientists, managers, policymakers, and communities from around the world. The meeting emphasizes international, interdisciplinary, and interactive approaches to advancing marine conservation, science, and policy. This year, the theme is "Making Marine Science Matter.”
New research on a wide range of ocean issues will include:
- Climate impacts on oceans – more than you knew
- The changing Arctic – natural and social implications
- Solutions for sustainable fisheries and aquaculture
- Effective Marine Spatial Planning
- Energy gains and drains – offshore oil drilling
- The future of salmon
