AMA Conference on Broadcast Meteorology

This American Meteorological Society conference offers broadcast meteorologists an opportunity to broaden their meteorological knowledge, especially with respect to regional challenges in forecasting, including tropical, severe weather, lake effect, mountain and winter weather. A day trip to the Cascades Volcano Observatory in Vancouver, Washington is planned to give broadcasters an opportunity to learn about explosive volcanoes in the Pacific Northwest. There will also be background on the state of knowledge and research on forecasting volcanic, earthquake and tsunami activity.
