DEADLINE: Indigenous Media Awards

The Indigenous Journalists Association (IJA; formerly the Native American Journalists Association) presents annually the Indigenous Media Awards (formerly the  National Native Media Awards). This unique competition recognizes outstanding coverage of Turtle Island by Indigenous and non-Indigenous journalists across the U.S. and Canada.

IJA membership is required to enter.

The Professional Division is for Indigenous journalists and for purposes of the contest, the Associate Division is for non-Indigenous journalists, including students. The Student Division is for Indigenous undergraduate and graduate students. Non-Indigenous students may enter the Associate Division that fits their circulation level.

Deadline: Mar 7, 2025 extended to Mar 28.
