DEADLINE: Young Reporters for the Environment USA
In the U.S., students aged 11-25 may enter the Young Reporters for the Environment USA competition in one of three age categories, as individuals or as part of a class or group. Participants investigate an environmental issue and report on it using journalistic techniques in either writing, photography or videography. Entries must be relevant to participants’ local community, connect to a global perspective, include possible solutions, and be disseminated to an appropriate target audience.
Winners will be selected in each age bracket for each media type. First-place winners for each age group in the Writing and Video categories will continue to the international competition. There will be only one first-place winner across all age groups in the Photography category that will move on to the international competition.

Submissions Due for U.S. Competition: Feb 28, 2020
