MuckRock's #FOIAFriday Zoom Sessions

Event Date:
August 30, 2024

In our #FOIAFriday sessions, MuckRock data reporter and SEJ member Dillon Bergin will cover common issues with filing state and federal public records requests, answer questions about documents and offer advice on roadblocks in the request process.

Next Date:

FOIA Friday returns on Friday, Aug. 30 at 11:30 a.m. Eastern to bring you tips, tricks and inspiration for your requests. This month, we’re focusing on documents that are especially useful during the election season. We’ll be talking about a candidate’s personal financial disclosures, business interests and finances with guest speaker Elizabeth Clemons from Sunlight search.

Do you have great examples of requests or reporting about transparency when public resources are used to fund businesses or nonprofits that perform governmental functions? General thoughts on the privatization of public information? Send them to Dillon! He'll be happy to share them in the call.

Tell us how we can help you with your request: you still have time to fill out our short feedback form.
