DEADLINE: Fifth International Marine Debris Conference Journalist Travel Scholarship

Ocean Conservancy is offering a travel scholarship to one working print, broadcast, or on-line journalist who covers environmental issues to attend the Fifth International Marine Debris Conference (5IMDC) entitled Wave of Change: Global Lessons to Inspire Local Action in Honolulu, Hawaii from March 20-25. Apply by Feb 11th.

Colorado River: "Running Toward Empty?"

Water managers, farmers, electric utilities, skiers and some 30 million water users breathed a sigh of relief in recent weeks with news that snowpack in the basin of the Colorado River was better. The relief may be temporary. The drought that has plagued the region for 11 years may become the new "normal."
