"U.S. Curtails Snowmobiles in Yellowstone"

"CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The National Park Service has approved a plan to restrict the number of snowmobiles in Yellowstone National Park to fewer than half last winter’s limit.

Disagreement over how many snowmobiles to allow into the park has for years pitted nearby tourist communities and the State of Wyoming against the park service and environmental groups determined to reduce traffic that they say can disturb wildlife and the area’s tranquillity."
