This tri-country resource is a handy starting place for bird identification by sight or sound, especially for non-birders.

Dendroica is interactive and includes birds from throughout Canada, USA, and Mexico. You can contribute new photographs and sound recordings to enhance the database. Browse through lists of species found in a particular region to see their photos and listen to their songs and calls. You can also customize your own species list for study.

Free registration (name and email address only) is required to use all of the website's features; however you can browse the default list as a guest, without logging in .
