SEC Poised To Mandate Climate Risk Disclosure by Firms

The Securities and Exchange Commission is considering requiring companies to disclose various risks they may face as a result of climate change, ClimateWire reports.

Investment groups had pushed unsuccessfully during the Bush Administration to force publicly traded companies to disclose the risks to their financial health that could result from climate change and measures to address it.
