Meet SEJ member Cindy Salo! Cindy is a plant ecologist who writes from rural areas about natural resources, agriculture and science for general and technical audiences. Her writing for general audiences has appeared in Big Sky Journal, Issues in Science and Technology and Hakai Magazine; her writing for technical audiences has appeared in Biological Invasions, Rangelands and American Midland Naturalist. She is currently exploring the role of army cutworms in periodic cheatgrass die-offs in the arid intermountain West.
