#SEJSpotlight: Whitney Bauck, Freelance Journalist

#SEJSpotlight graphic for Whitney Bauck

Meet SEJ member Whitney Bauck! Whitney is a reporter who writes about climate change and culture for publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Financial Times and more. Her work focuses on showing how climate change is connected to everything from religion and politics to fashion and entertainment, and she uses this multi-faceted approach to get rigorous environmental reporting in front of readers who might not otherwise gravitate toward science coverage. Whitney was named a Metcalf Environmental Reporting Fellow in 2020.

Whitney recommends SEJ membership to her colleagues because, "it's a great way to stay updated about fellowships, job openings and current topics in the world of environmental journalism," she said. Join Whitney in the SEJ community today!
