The Planetary Health Alliance, along with The Rockefeller Foundation, Wellcome Trust, Ecological Society of America, American Geophysical Union, and The Lancet, is hosting the inaugural Planetary Health/GeoHealth Annual Meeting at the Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, with an opening reception on Friday, April 28 at the New England Aquarium.

The World Ocean Council will host two high-impact ocean events in Barcelona, Spain: the return of the Sustainable Ocean Summit – SOS 2022, taking place October 17-18; followed by the launch of the Global Blue Finance Summit – BlueFIN 22, WOC’s new forum focused on blue finance, on October 19.

TheUnited Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development will be convened at United Nations Headquarters in New York, coinciding with World Oceans Day, to support the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14.

This event, replacing the recently-cancelled CDC summit, will provide a crucial platform for the diverse stakeholders in the public health and climate communities to come together around solutions. Hosted in Atlanta by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, the American Public Health Association (APHA), The Climate Reality Project, Harvard Global Health Institute, the University of Washington Center for Health and the Global Environment and Dr. Howard Frumkin, former director of the CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health.

The American Society for Environmental History's annual meeting, hosted by the University of Illinois-Chicago, will feature more than 100 sessions discussing climate change, environmental justice, endangered species, public lands, energy policy, forestry management, natural disasters, and other topics.

The 2024 AGU annual meeting takes place in Washington, DC and online. Journalists attending can learn about the latest research in a broad range of Earth and space sciences. Staff, freelance and student journalists are eligible to apply for complimentary press registration.

The third annual Symposium of the American Geographical Society, at Columbia University in New York, includes over 30 speakers who are leading research and policy in sustainability. Keynote speakers include Dr. Roger Sayre (Senior Scientist at the U.S. Geological Survey) and Mr. William Reilly (Former Administrator, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency).
